đź“– Hello, Reader!

Welcome! I'm Libby Wilson, and I write nonfiction books for kids who ask "why?" about everything. I believe children's books are the perfect place to explore big social issues—because kids are naturally curious, refreshingly honest, and haven't yet learned that some topics are "too complicated" to discuss. Plus, they're way better at cutting through nonsense than most adults give them credit for.

Right now, I'm deep in the research rabbit hole for my next book idea. (Translation: I'm reading everything I can get my hands on, taking notes like a detective, and occasionally emerging to tell my golden retriever about fascinating facts she absolutely does not care about.) The beauty of writing nonfiction for kids is that every new project is an adventure into something completely different.

My books have covered topics as varied as animal poop (yes, really—and kids LOVE it) to the latest female basketball superstar breaking records and glass ceilings. If it makes kids say "Wow!" or "Ewww!" or "I didn't know that!"—I'm probably writing about it. Because the world is endlessly fascinating, and books are the best way to explore it, one amazing fact at a time.
